ZANDA PANDA Specialty Bakeware introduces it's new Kaleidoscope Collection. The Butterfly Topper/Cookie Mold is the first design in this versatile series. Divided into eight slices, the design as a whole looks much like the view from a child’s kaleidoscope. With eight butterflies nestled among flowers and scrollwork, the design ensures that everyone gets a butterfly. Elegant enough for a garden party, yet cute enough for kids, it can be used as a 'topper' for a 9” cake, cheesecake or pie, as a cookie mold, or for arts & crafts projects like clay jewelry or cast paper notecards.
To use the Butterfly Topper, paint chocolate or confectionary coating into the shallow mold, or press marzipan or edible clay into it. Then place on a previously baked and cooled cake or cheesecake and peel the mold from the topping for instant elegance.
For a decorative pie crust, press the pie crust dough into the mold, place on pie, then peel off mold, crimp crust, vent and bake as usual.
The mold can also be used as a cookie press, or the cookies can be baked right in the mold for sharper detail.
The packaging includes a recipe for a flourless chocolate cake (with chocolate butterfly topping), and basic sugar cookies, as well as ideas for arts, crafts and children's projects.
The Butterfly Topper is made of FDA approved, 100% food-grade, platinum cured silicone, with a temperature range of -40 to 446 °F (-40 to 230°C) and is oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe.
